Congratulations to Laina for being selected to attend HYPE Academy this summer. This academy prepares students to communicate, lead, and advocate for agriculture. Only the top 30 incoming senior FFA members in the state are selected for this program.
Due to hazardous weather, there will be NO school today, Wednesday, March 5.
Our Science Olympiad team competed at Truman University on Saturday. They placed 3rd and will be advancing to the state competition April 26!
Congratulations to FFA members Alexis and Bryce for earning their Missouri State Degrees! They will be recognized on stage at state convention in April!
4th grade has been studying volcanoes. Today we made volcanoes out of clay. Stay tuned for the volcanic eruptions later this week.
Congrats to Laina for being selected to serve as Treasurer for the Area 3 FFA officer team for the 2025-2026 year. She will be serving alongside student leaders from ten schools across our area.
MCR-IV was well represented last night. Gabe was part of the interview panel as a current area officer. Alexis & Karli served as our delegates.

FFA members need to pay the required $15 for the community breakfast supplies. A letter was sent home with students earlier this week and they have been reminded in class for several weeks. Students must pay to be able to participate in FFA activities including contests (first contest is Friday, March 7). If you have any questions or concerns with this, please reach out to Mrs. Adkins.

Scholar Bowl competitions start next week. Our first home match will be on Tuesday, March 4 @ 4:00 at MCR-IV. Both junior high and high school will be competing. We hope you will come out and support our BMC students.
MEC visited with 4th and 5th grade on Wednesday to talk about electricity safety and the coop that provides our area with electricity.

Our BMC fan section was AWESOME last night. {Special shoutout to the student section that showed up and cheered on our BMC girls last night} Let's do it again on Thursday night. We hope you will show up and support our BMC Lady Raiders at 7:30 on Thursday, February 27. at La Plata High School. Go BMC!
