Congrats to Mrs. Lou Isaacson who was awarded a Dollar General Literacy Foundation Grant in the amount of $2,750 to be used in promoting literacy in our elementary classrooms. Great job Mrs. Isaacson!

Attention Junior High Basketball Boys & Parents from MCR-IV-----PLEASE READ:

1. When practice is at MCR-IV, practice will be from 4:00-5:30 (unless otherwise noted). Your child must be picked up right at 5:30 pm at MCR-IV school. Please arrive a few minutes early. Please also note that if you are not here at 5:30, your child will be required to ride the activities bus over to Bucklin and then return back to the school at 6:00 for pickup due to supervision issues.
*Players will be supervised at the school from 3:30-4:00 before practice begins.
2. When practice is at Bucklin, the practice times will be 3:45-5:45 (unless otherwise noted). Players will return to MCR-IV at 6:00 for pickup time.

In accordance with the “Get the Lead Out of School Drinking Water Act”, Macon
County R-IV School district has completed initial lead testing of all drinking
water and food preparation outlets. We have contracted with an outside facility
Get The Lead Out LLC to conduct all the testing and provide us with
documentation. According to the new law, plans need to be put in place to
conduct testing and remediation by January of 2024 and all testing needs to be completed by August of 2024. Today we are notifying our district of the initial test
results. Thank you for your support as we work through the new legislation.

2022-2023 Yearbooks are here! We have a LIMITED number of yearbooks available still for sale. Contact Mrs. Moore or the front office if you would like to purchase one.


We have a semi-new math program in the upper grades. All middle and high school math is now using the Reveal program which includes a large amount online. The students are learning how to use it in class, but parents are being invited to come learn about how the program works as well. Please see the flyer (which was also sent home with students)
