Skylar competed at state track today in the 3200 meter run. She came in 16th with a new PR today of 14:28 today. She had her own cheering section and send off today. We are all very proud of her hard work this season!!

6th - 12th Grade students visited Rock Bridge Memorial State Park and Cosmo Park in Columbia on Wednesday. Thank you to Mrs. Johnson for organizing the excursion and to the Missouri Conservation Discover Nature Grant for sponsoring the trip! We had fun hiking, exploring and celebrating the end of the school year. Thanks to all of the teachers and staff who helped to prepare for and chaperone the trip!
Students from the National Honor Society spent Monday morning volunteering at the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri. They packed up 384 boxes of food for seniors! They also had some fun at Sky Zone in the afternoon. Thank you to Ms. Megan Speichinger for joining Mr. Olsen and the NHS students for our day of service and fun.

We hope you will join us in a state track send-off for Skylar on Friday, May 23. She will be leaving Bucklin High School at 12:30 and make her way through Bucklin. She will then stop at MCR-IV, making a loop in the parking lot. Please help us spread the word and support Skylar on her way to state!
Skylar and Laina competed at Sectional Track today. Laina placed 6th in Pole Vault and Skylar placed 4th in the 2 mile and she will be moving on to compete at State next weekend!!! We are very proud of both ladies. And a big thank you to Coach Jones and Coach Isaacson for all their help this season. Go BMC! Good luck Skylar!
Field day fun for First!!
The 4x800 relay team broke their own record at Districts last Saturday by taking another 20 seconds off their previous time. They placed 5th and barely missed moving on to Sectionals.
The Senior Class trip made so many memories they couldn't fit in one post. They celebrated a birthday and made some new feathered friends.
The Senior Class had a trip full of adventure and fun. They enjoyed everything from boating to bowling, and much more.
Thank you to Mrs. Adkins and her Ag students for allowing us to visit Barnyard Day. First graders thoroughly enjoyed it!

Please welcome Coach Daniel Hernandez!
Coach Daniel Hernandez graduated from Macon County R-IV in 2014. He furthered his academic and basketball career at Westminster College & MACC. Coach H married his lovely wife Chasity Hernandez in 2021. They have 4 children; Grayson 8, Honor 6, Ariella 3, and Micah 2. The Hernandez family loves a good movie night, cuddles on the couch, going to the park, having family BBQ parties in the backyard and vacationing to the ocean in the colder months.
Coach H played 5 seasons under Mr. Daniel Liebhart, including during the first two seasons of the BMC co-op. Coach H finished his HS basketball careeer with a 14-7 senior season. As a Raider, he led his team in scoring, rebounds, blocked shots, free throw %, 3-point % and was 2nd in assists, 3rd in steals, and 3rd in turnovers.
“I am so excited to get started and get in the gym with our group and the community. My mother always told me her favorite cheer to hear at ball games growing up was ,“We’re so proud to be Raiders!” -- and I’ve been hearing it in my head all day. I am so excited for this journey!”

"My name is Alexandria Duncan and I am originally from Brookfield, Missouri. I graduated with my RN at North Central Missouri College after high school and then went on to the University of Central Missouri. There, I received a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master’s in the Arts of Teaching. This will be my second year teaching and I am very excited to be closer to home. I am eager to join the Macon County R-IV family!"

I started in education as a substitute teacher and fell in love with teaching! I decided to go back to school and I am now working towards finishing my degree. I love getting to be a positive and caring influence in the lives of my students. I strive to make learning enjoyable and meaningful in my classroom. I want my students to be confident and know they can accomplish anything they put their minds to. My wish is that every student feels valued and inspired.
I am beyond excited for this next school year. I can’t wait to meet all of my new students and make so many new memories with them. I am so eager to get involved with the school and the community!"

"I am very excited to be joining Macon County R-IV as the third grade teacher. I recently earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from WGU. I have previously worked in education as a preschool teacher as well as a paraprofessional. My experience from both teaching preschool and working as a paraprofessional has given me a strong foundation in supporting students at different stages of learning. I’m excited to learn and grow together with my students this year. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, kids, and grandchildren."
