Graduation 2025
PLEASE NOTE: BMC baseball practice will now be held at MC this week. Bus time is 3:30 from Bucklin. Practice will run from 3:45-5:30. Go BMC!
District track meet was held today. We have 2 ladies advancing to sectionals next Saturday. Laina is advancing in Pole Vault! Skylar is advancing in the 3200 meter. I am so proud of all the girls for their hard work this season. More rankings will be posted later from today's meet. -Coach Jones

At Last We See the Light- Prom 2025 was a great success. We want to thank Shelmadine Outfitters for allowing us to hold our event at their location. We also want to thank all the Junior parents who helped with the meal and decorations. Mr. Olsen and the Class of 2026 did a great job. Here are a few pictures from the night.

We want to thank everyone who came out last night to support our FFA students and their achievements at their Chapter Banquet We also want to thank Raspberry's BBQ for their generous donation of pulled pork. It was delicious and we appreciate your support of our FFA.

Decision Day 2025
Congratulations to our seniors!
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Ryan Olsen will be the new principal of Macon County R-IV starting in August. Mr. Olsen has been the Band & Music Teacher at Macon County R-IV since 2019 and has also been CTA president, co-director of the BMC Pep Band and the NHS Advisor. Mr. Olsen began his career in education as an English Teacher in South Korea. He subsequently pursued a Master's in Music Education at Hunter College in New York City where he would become the PK-5 Music Teacher at PS 124, Yung Wing Elementary in Manhattan. While at PS 124, Mr. Olsen was the music director of the award-winning PS 124 Theatre Club, which garnered national recognition at venues such as the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Olsen received his Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from William Woods University in 2024. Mr. Olsen's wife, Dr. Emily Olsen, is a linguistics professor at Truman State University and they reside in Kirksville with their two sons.
Not only did they set the BMC record last night, but this team of MCR-IV girls also broke the 4x800 relay MCR-IV record that was from 2001 with a time of 12:23.64. Way to go Alexis, Maci, Ana, and Kayla.

Be on the lookout for photos of prom to come later this week, but for now, we want to thank everyone who contributed to our After Prom.
Our students enjoyed all kinds of fun at the Brookfield YMCA, snacked on all kinds of treats (including QUESO-so much queso), belted out some classic karaoke favorites, won lots of really nice cash and gift card prizes and then traveled to Star 63 Diner for breakfast. We are so thankful for all the generous donors to make this a fun, safe night for our students and guests. Thank you to Mr. Olsen and his junior class for organizing all the details and to all the adults who helped chaperone. It was a great night!
