The Ag Food Science class had fun cooking with their favorite fall candies.





Our FFA students made it out to Indianapolis yesterday for their first day at National Convention! They started the day with a long drive, then attended Opening Session, hearing from keynote speaker Kevin Wanzer. They ended the night getting dressed up for the Megan Moroney concert!





We're hiring and training bus drivers! Looking for individuals to drive the vo-tech route regularly and daytime field trip drivers. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug testing. Jr High classes were challenged by completing a unit review escape room.
Most were successful, but all had fun.









Eighth Grade Science class has been working on dichotomous keys. Today they were challenged with identifying trees around the school.

You are invited to the Macon County R-IV Science Fair! All JH and HS Science students will be participating. It will be open from 5:30pm - 7:30pm, before and after the winter concert. District softball has been released. BMC will play against Linn County on Wednesday, October 16th at 5:00 p.m. in La Plata. Go BMC!

The Macon County R-4 School District is accepting bids for snow removal for the 2024-2025 school year. Bids should include removing snow from north and south parking lots, the parking lot at the annex, and all entrances. BMC Softball and Baseball players and their families are invited to attend our end of season fun night sponsored by the BMC Booster Club! We will meet at the Bucklin field at 6:00 for the kickball game and pizza. Wear your Halloween costume for some fun! If weather doesn't cooperate we will be in the Bucklin gym.


In ELA2, students finished reading "Animal Farm" by George Orwell and worked very hard on completing a movie poster project for the book. Way to go, Raiders!


Please save the date for the 2024 Winter Concert! This year's theme is "Fire and Ice" and the concert will be held on Tuesday, December 17th at 6pm in the Big Gym. All elementary students and secondary band, choir and piano students will be performing. Please contact Mr. Olsen with any questions.
